Peachtree Corners, Georgia
Peachtree Corners is where our office is: office parks and flex buildings, the shopping centers along Peachtree Parkway, and neighborhoods built from the early 1970s on.
Peachtree Corners homes
Peachtree Corners began as a planned community at the end of the 1960s, with office and research buildings laid out beside its neighborhoods, and it only became a city in 2012. That history shows in the doors. The office and flex buildings were built in waves from the 1970s on, so a single business park can hold aluminum entrances that have been replaced twice next to steel back doors that are original, sagging on their hinges and rusting at the threshold. A building like that is rarely one job; it is a list, door by door, and we write it that way.
The tenants in those buildings change more often than the buildings do. Each new tenant inherits locks keyed for somebody else, a back door whose exit device has been propped open for years, and sometimes a reader that no longer talks to anything. The useful first visit is a walk of every door with the tenant: which doors need a new cylinder, which need hardware, which need a reader, and which are fine as they are. From our office on Holcomb Bridge Road that walk is easy to fit in.
The neighborhoods are where Peachtree Corners is quieter. Subdivisions off Spalding Drive, Peachtree Corners Circle and Jones Bridge Road, down toward the Chattahoochee, are mostly two-story houses from the 1970s and 80s with wood or steel entry doors, brick moldings and the original deadbolts. Forty-odd years on, the wood door has checked and swollen, the steel one has rusted at the bottom, the door from the garage has never closed on its own, and nobody knows how many keys are out there. A new entry door in the existing frame, a move-in rekey, a keypad deadbolt and a camera at the front door are the usual calls.
Between the two are the apartment and townhome communities along Peachtree Parkway and Holcomb Bridge Road, with the work every managed building has: fire-rated doors in the breezeways and stairwells that need a closer and a label, entry gates and intercoms, and a rekey at every turnover so the last tenant's keys open nothing.

Good to know
Your question is not here? Call (470) 691-8439 and put it to the crew directly.
With a walk of every door with you: which locks to rekey, which hardware is worn, and which doors need a reader. You get one written estimate for the suite, door by door, and you can do it in stages.
Usually not. If the frame is square and the wood around it is sound, a new door is hung in it, which keeps the trim and the brick molding as they are. We check the frame and the sill before we quote.
It is not required in Georgia, but a door that closes and latches by itself keeps fumes and fire in the garage out of the house. Spring hinges on the door you have are a short job.
Yes. Often the reader is fine and the controller or software behind it is gone; sometimes it is easier to put a standalone keypad or fob lock on that door. We look at what is there and price both.
